Chipmind secures CHF 1.37 million in Innosuisse funding to accelerate AI-driven chip design
October 1, 2026

Chipmind has been awarded CHF 1.37 million in funding through the Start-up Innovation Projects programme of Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency.
The grant marks a major milestone for our team and recognises the potential of our technology to advance AI-driven chip design. Our goal is to significantly shorten chip development cycles in an industry where a delay can mean missing an entire product generation.
The funding will help us grow our research and engineering team, accelerate development and bring our technology to chip design teams faster.
Making AI agents reliable for chip design
Non-deterministic results and constant handholding limit AI adoption in chip design today. To delegate engineering work with confidence, teams need agents that can operate within their design context and produce results they can validate and reproduce.
We’re building autonomous agents powered by a harness that connects them to the broader design context, EDA tools and validation workflows needed to deliver reliable, reproducible results. This enables engineers to delegate more of the execution while retaining control over design decisions and final review.
Building on our research
Developing these capabilities requires combining advances in agentic AI with deep knowledge of how semiconductor engineers design and verify hardware.
Our ongoing research focuses on how agents reason about hardware, retrieve relevant design context and coordinate work across specialised tools. Learning from execution, including tool feedback, errors and successful corrections, is central to improving their capabilities.
Innosuisse’s support gives us the resources to deepen this work and develop agents that can take on increasingly complex design and verification tasks. We will evaluate progress on representative engineering workflows, assessing reliability, reproducibility, task completion and the human intervention required.
Advancing innovation from Switzerland
We’re proud to build our technology in Switzerland, grow a team at the intersection of AI and semiconductor engineering, and contribute to the country’s strength in these fields.
A huge thank you to Innosuisse for supporting our work, and to our team and everyone who has helped us reach this milestone. We’re excited for what comes next.
Let AI do the chips. 🐿️
