This November we’re sponsoring the Best Paper Award at DVCon Europe 2026.

DVCon is the conference where design and verification engineers still argue about testbenches. Accellera hosts it. This is the 13th edition, 17–18 November in Munich. If you work in SystemVerilog, UVM, SystemC, or the scripts that glue them to a tapeout, this is your room.

Chipmind is a Zurich-based startup building AI agents for chip design. Our days look a lot like the papers on that program: extending a testbench, triaging a regression, staring at a waveform, trying to keep a change reviewable. Sponsoring the Best Paper Award is how we want to show up. The work that is specific, and a bit stubborn, should get the applause. 🐿️

Last year’s bar

They split the engineering award. Infineon won for The Test Bench Factory: Building Verification Environments Faster, Better, Smarter. Qualcomm won for Simulation Time Federation using the Zenoh framework between SystemC and QEMU. That’s the standard we’re walking into. We’ll be in the room when this year’s paper is named, and we’ll clap for the team that earned it.

Why DVCon

The 2026 keynotes already sit where we sit. Prof. Hussam Amrouch (Technical University of Munich, Chair of AI Processor Design) and Antoine Madec (Axelera AI, Director of Verification). AI isn’t a side track this year. Verification isn’t either.

Coding agents weren’t built for chip design. Getting a generated module to pass a test is the easy part. The job is the hierarchy, the constraints, the regression, and the review. DVCon is still the place where European engineers publish how they actually do that. That’s the audience we care about.

In Munich

We’re not coming to announce that agents replaced your methodology. We’re coming to talk to the people who own it.
